Both trees are created to follow a spline. Here you can see them being drawn with each trees UVs unwrapped & packed procedurally
I divided the tree leaves into different clusters and shrinked wrapped to create smooth shapes around them. I transferred the normals from these objects back onto the leaves to give the tree a softer appearance
LODs created in houdini & used in conjunction with amplify imposters to further optimize when viewing from a distance
Vertex colors are used in the shader to create a gradient up the tree trunk and to control vertex movement for the wind effect
